Rev. Matt Hilgaertner
Pastor Matt has served full-time at Parkdale Community Church since May 2025. He grew up in Thousand Oaks, California, with two younger sisters. In 1997, he married Kris, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, and in 2000 they moved from Atlanta, Georgia, to Tigard, Oregon. They have two grown sons, one daughter-in-law, and two dogs.
Matt is a graduate of Whitworth University and Princeton Theological Seminary, and he also completed doctoral coursework at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando. He has also served churches in Peachtree City, GA, as well as Sherwood, Portland, and Lake Oswego, OR. In addition to his ministry at PCC, Matt serves as Vice President of International Hispanic Ministries, based in Vancouver, WA.
